Privacy policy
The only cookies that don't track you.
In short: the tools on this site process your files, text and passwords inside your own browser. We do not upload them anywhere because we have no need for them.
Private by design
Mini Cookies tools run on capabilities your browser already has. The file you pick is opened on your machine, processed there, and the result is downloaded from there.
This is not a promise you have to take on trust: it follows from how the site is built. You can disconnect from the internet after a tool has loaded and it will keep working.
- Your files are never uploaded to any server of ours.
- Your text is never stored in any database.
- Your passwords never leave your device.
- No account and no sign-up are needed.
- We keep neither the file nor the result: close the tab and nothing is left.
What data is collected
For the tools to work, none. We ask for no sign-up, build no user profiles and store nothing you process.
We also use no analytics whatsoever: no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Umami, no Clarity, none at all. We do not measure visits or follow your path through the site.
The only things stored on your machine are two of your own preferences (light or dark theme, and language), in your browser local storage. They never leave your device and you can clear them by clearing this site data.
Third-party services
To be precise, there are three points where something external is involved. We spell them out because a policy claiming "nothing leaves your browser" without mentioning them would be incomplete:
- Libraries from a CDN. Several tools use open-source libraries downloaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net when the page opens. As with any download, those servers can see your IP address and which browser you use. What they do not see, and never receive, is your file: the library travels to you, never the other way round.
- Advertising. This site may show Google AdSense ads. Google may use cookies to personalise those ads based on your browsing activity. You can manage that personalisation from your Google ad settings. your Google ad settings
- Contact form. This is the one exception to everything above. If you fill in and send the contact form, the name, email and message you type are sent to Web3Forms, which forwards them to us by email. It happens only if you choose to press send, and never while using a tool. Web3Forms
Why we built it this way
The internet already collects plenty. Most of these tools do not need your data in order to work, so we do not ask for it.
Dozens of sites do what this one does by uploading your document to someone else’s server. That works, but it means handing a file of yours to a stranger for a job your own computer can already do. It seemed unnecessary.
